this is the album that i recorded mostly in korea, on a four track that steven, my brother was nice enough to give me, and a 486 laptop computer with a sound card. i was playing guitar and harmonica up on the roof of our three story apartment building every day, looking out at the concrete jungle.

the drums on this album were mostly generated using a strange program that i haven't been able to find since, that allows you to define midi sequences by constructing "machines" with artificial intelligence that react to stimuli, such as the mouse, or a source signal. an example of this is most evident on the song "mozartrip". the bass line in the song was also created using the same program, the name of which still eludes me. if anyone knows of this piece of software, please let me know. it was free and very cool.

this album was recorded about one year after i first picked up a guitar and also represents the first serious recording project that i had attempted.
